Tottenham Hotspur could be in the market for new signings in January, with Weston McKennie once again being linked with a move from Juventus.

Antonio Conte became Tottenham manager last week, and you have to assume that he has been promised new signings to bolster his squad.

Gazzetta Dello Sport now claim that Conte wants to bring Weston McKennie to Tottenham.

The report adds that Fabio Paratici could now push for a January deal.

Conte allegedly sees McKennie as the next Arturo Vidal in terms of being a physical and all-action midfield player.

McKennie has been in and out of the Juventus side this season and could bring a true box-to-box presence to Tottenham’s midfield.

These new links are particularly interesting because Conte discussed McKennie when he spoke to Tottenham over the summer.

Conte allegedly loves McKennie so much that he made McKennie one of his first targets no matter where his next club ended up being.

Calciomercato reported that Conte was desperate to add McKennie, but his Tottenham talks broke down.

Now finally appointed as Tottenham boss, Conte could still end up bringing McKennie to Tottenham after all.

Branded ‘relentless’ by Tab Ramos, McKennie is the kind of player Conte would love in midfield, and we could see a January move take place months after Conte first wanted him.
