Antonio Conte will be leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer with Spurs yet to offer him a renewal to his existing contract.
That’s according to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that the decision has already been made.
Di Marzio stated ‘the news I can tell you with certainty is that Antonio Conte will leave Tottenham at the end of the season’.
Di Marzio suggests that Tottenham haven’t really been pushing to secure a new contract with Conte.
It’s also claimed that Tottenham don’t like the ‘frequent digs’ made at the club and they are just expecting different things.
Conte wants players who are ready to win whereas Tottenham want to develop players for the future and possibly trade to make profit, and with Conte’s family still in Italy, a parting of the ways seems likely.

Antonio Conte leaving Tottenham is best for all parties
We can understand why Tottenham appointed Conte; when a manager of that calibre is interested, why not go for it?
There has been a rising feeling of this just being a bad fit though, given Conte’s desire for proven top-end talent.
If we were to be cynical, we could suggest that Tottenham wanted to show that they were a big club by appointing Conte, even if they ultimately needed a different type of coach.
Conte did work wonders by getting Tottenham into the top four last season and that won’t be forgotten quickly.
Yet this season has been difficult, performances have been very patchy, the style of play has been pretty dull and Conte will always want more backing in the transfer market than Tottenham can provide.
A parting of ways in the summer does make some sense but if that’s the plan, some will wonder if Tottenham are wasting time by continuing with Conte until then.
When you add in the uncertainty surrounding Fabio Paratici, the months ahead could be enormous for Tottenham.
Conte is his own man and doesn’t need us to tell him when to take a break, but he noted the recent passing of many people close to him, which must be incredibly hard to deal with whilst taking on the strain of being a Premier League boss.
Mauricio Pochettino will surely fancy taking the Tottenham job again, and Di Marzio’s claims should be taken seriously given that he is one of the top sources in Italy.
