Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that former goalkeeper Rob Burch is returning to the club under Ange Postecoglou.
Rob Burch is heading back to Tottenham Hotspur as he joins Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff in North London.
Postecoglou has been seeking to build a coaching team around him having left Celtic for the Tottenham job.
Tottenham have now confirmed Postecoglou’s staff with some interesting moves made.
Chris Davies will be an assistant to Postecoglou and whilst the Welshman may have been a Celtic coach in years gone by, he never crossed paths with Postecoglou there.
Postecoglou has also brought in his fellow Australian Mile Jedinak having worked together in the Socceroos setup before.
There is also a role for Burch, who will be coming in as the club’s First Team Goalkeeping Coach.
Tottenham’s previous goalkeeping coach was Marco Savorani, who was a favourite of Antonio Conte having worked together at Siena.
Savorani has gone now though and Tottenham have moved to make Burch his replacement as Postecoglou finalises his coaching staff.

Who is Tottenham’s Rob Burch?
Burch was a goalkeeping his playing days and actually emerged in the Tottenham ranks.
Burch had loan spells at Woking, Stevenage, West Ham United, Stevenage again, Bristol City and Barnet before leaving for Sheffield Wednesday in 2007.
First-team minutes at Tottenham just weren’t possible for Burch and he barely featured for Wednesday either.
A 2008 move to Lincoln City handed Burch valuable first-team playing time before joining Notts County in 2010.
Burch retired before even turning 30 and immediately returned to Tottenham, becoming the club’s Under-18 goalkeeping coach.

Burch also joined up with the England Under-20 coaching setup under now-Carlisle United boss Paul Simpson.
Scott Parker came calling in 2019, taking Burch to Fulham having worked together in the Tottenham youth ranks.
The pair have been together ever since, joining forces as Bournemouth and even Club Brugge in recent times.
Out of work since March, Burch is now back in the game and heading back Tottenham.
Burch will have a vital role as he will be charged with the task of developing imminent signing Guglielmo Vicario as he prepares for a first Premier League season.
