Should Tottenham Hotspur have been giving Luke Amos opportunities?

Tottenham Hotspur’s midfield has been found wanting in recent weeks with the North London side suffering three straight defeats.
Perhaps it should be no surprise, with Spurs relying on Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele, two players who are showing signs of World Cup fatigue.
Victor Wanyama, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks have been struggling with injuries… which makes it bemusing that summer sensation Luke Amos has not been given a chance.
Amos starred in pre-season, becoming Tottenham’s standout player against Roma, AC Milan and Barcelona.
He made his debut as a last minute substitute against Newcastle on the first day of the season, and then there has been nothing.

With Tottenham’s players struggling for form and fitness, results indicate that manager Mauricio Pochettino may have made a mistake by not getting Amos more involved.
Amos showed in pre-season he is fearless, tenacious, and importantly, he is fresh and healthy.
Next week Spurs face Watford in the League Cup and Amos is a must start.
Pre-season form suggests he will not let them down, and it could be a platform for him to become Tottenham’s midfield solution.
