Bournemouth striker Joshua King is being tracked by the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and West Ham United.
Bournemouth’s Joshua King has spoken further on his future
Joshua King seems to have all but confirmed that he plans to stay at Bournemouth this summer despite the fact that he is attracting interest from the likes of Tottenham, Newcastle and West Ham following his excellent season, the Daily Star reports.
King has established himself as something of a talisman for the Cherries this term, scoring 16 times in 36 games for the south coast club to move them to within touching distance of securing a top-half finish in the Premier League.
Unsurprisingly, that form led to the cluster of sides to register an interest, and it is fair to say that King could have been forgiven for finding all three options quite tempting.
Tottenham have progressed once again this year, West Ham are crying out for a striker following their disappointing season and of course, King’s former teammate Matt Ritchie found a switch to Newcastle appealing enough to drop down a division last summer, so a Magpies team in the top flight may have an even greater lure about them.
King has scored 16 times this term
However, King has insisted that, as nice as the rumours are, staying at the Vitality Stadium will be his plan for the coming months.
“I cannot wait for next season to start,” he said, as reported by the Daily Star. “I have enjoyed being here from day one.
“Being noticed by other clubs is positive but my focus is 100 per cent here.”

With the 25-year-old taking his goals tally into double figures for the first time in his career, his challenge will surely now be to prove that he can build upon the success of this season and show once again why the trio of sides wanted him this summer.
If he is unable to, then perhaps Spurs, Newcastle and the Hammers will be thankful that King decided that he wanted to stay put.
