Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are interested in signing Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen, according to 90min.
Tottenham and Newcastle linked with Moussa Diaby of Bayer Leverkusen
90min have reported that scouts from Tottenham and Newcastle were in attendance to see Diaby in action for Bayer Leverkusen against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.
Bundesliga outfit Bayer won the match 2-0 at home.
Diaby – who is “exciting” and “quick and tricky”, according to European football expert Kevin Hatchard – scored the second goal for Bayer in the 87th minute.
90min have claimed that Newcastle and Tottenham scouts were impressed by the display produced by the French winger at the BayArena.
Manchester City also had scouts present at the game to watch Diaby, according to the report.

One to keep an eye on
We do not think that Bayer Leverkusen will sell Moussa Diaby in the January transfer window.
However, Tottenham and Newcastle should continue to monitor the 23-year-old France international winger in the coming weeks and months with a view to a move next summer.
Diaby has done well for Bayer over the years, and given that the former Paris Saint-Germain winger has experience of playing in major European competitions such as the UEFA Champions League makes him even more appealing and attractive to top clubs.
The winger has given one assist in six Bundesliga appearances and has scored one goal in two UEFA Champions League matches for Bayer so far this season.
Last season, the 23-year-old scored 13 goals and gave 12 assists in the Bundesliga, and scored four goals and provided 10 assists in the league in 2020-21.
