Manchester United and Spurs have all been linked with AC Milan’s Serie A star Davide Calabria.

AC Milan’s Davide Calabria looked set to become one of Europe’s most in-demand defenders heading into the summer transfer window.
The Italian international has had a fine season in a mixed campaign for Gennaro Gattuso’s side, making the right-back spot his own despite the return from injury of the more attack-minded Andrea Conti.
And, according to Milan News, Everton had expressed an interest in March with Calabria having been linked with a move to Goodison Park for over a year.
Calciomercato, meanwhile, claimed that Premier League giants Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were interested too in a player who had been compared to Rossoneri legend Paolo Maldini in his younger days.
United and Spurs are both expected to sign a new right-back this summer amid doubts over the futures of Antonio Valencia, Kieran Tripper and Serge Aurier.

But their plans could now be in ruins – like Calabria’s season. As reported by Goal, the 22-year-old suffered a compound leg fracture during Milan’s 1-0 Coppa Italia semi-final defeat to Lazio in midweek.
He is unlikely to play again this season and, while the blow will not keep Calabria out for the rest of 2019, it would be a big risk for Manchester United or Tottenham to pay a big fee for a player with a broken leg.
