According to Le Journal de Dimanche, Paris Saint-German sporting director Leonardo has confirmed reported Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool target Thomas Meunier will move on.

The Belgium international is out of contract this summer.

PSG are keen to offload some fringe players to make way for extra funds.

Edison Cavani, Thiago Silva and Layvin Kurzawa are all set to leave, while Tottenham and Liverpool will be interested to hear Meunier added to the list of summer departures.

According to Le10sport, Liverpool have enquired about the defender.

The Reds may have dominated the Premier League this term but manager Jurgen Klopp will not allow his side to rest on their laurels for next season.

Meunier is predominantly a right-back. He could provide competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield while teaming up with compatriot Divock Origi.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have also been heavily linked with the soon-to-be free agent.

According to L’Equipe, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has personally spoken to Meunier over the phone and told the Belgian of his plans for next season.

It is said the Portuguese boss may have convinced the defender of a move to Spurs.

At 28, however, Meunier doesn’t represent a long-term solution. His arrival could contradict Daniel Levy’s plan to sign younger players with a high re-sale value.

Spurs have struggled at right-back. Kieran Tripper left to join Atletico Madrid last summer, and his replacement Serge Aurier has endured an inconsistent campaign.

Meunier may not be this lightening quick, dynamic, young attacking fullback. But, the three-time French league winner is a reliable, top player and a potential summer bargain.
