According to The Mirror, Norwich City are ready to sell James Maddison in the summer of 2018, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur among the clubs claimed to be interested in the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.

It has been reported that Manchester City are also interested in the youngster, and that Norwich, who are playing in the Championship this season, will demand as much as £30 million for Maddison.

Maddison is one of the best young attacking midfielders in the Championship and has a lot of potential, but if the Canaries want £30m for him, then Liverpool and Tottenham should look at alternatives.

Christian Eriksen remains one of the best and most creative players in the world, and Dele Alli is not bad either.

As for Liverpool, with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane going strong and with Adam Lallana also around, the Reds do not need to spend £30m on a 21-year-old Championship player.
