Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to recent comments from Sam Allardyce on Ross Barkley.
Everton manager Allardyce recently suggested to Sky Sports that he is not sure about the future of Barkley.
The England international attacking midfielder, who is injured at the moment, is out of contract at Everton at the end of the season.

According to The Liverpool Echo, London clubs Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur wanted to sign the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window.
A report in The Telegraph in October claimed that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to recruit Barkley in the January transfer window.
Allardyce recently told Sky Sports: “I’d like to think we can keep Barkley, unless somebody’s already done a deal for him.
“I am not daft enough to know in this game that those words and phone calls might not have already gone on.
“If we could get Ross Barkley to stay then nobody would be more delighted than me. Whether that is a possibility I do not know.
“For me it’s about getting him back in the squad first and seeing where we are from there.”
Everton and Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Allardyce’s comments on Barkley.

Barkley is a very attacking midfielder who would be a good signing for any club next summer, especially as he would be a free agent.
It would make sense for Everton to keep hold of the Englishman beyond January or next summer.
