Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has sent an emotional message to supporters thanking them for their support during the World Cup.

The England star scored for the Three Lions during their 2-0 quarter final victory over Sweden.

Just want to say a special thank you to the whole country for the support we’ve received so far, it’s overwhelming seeing people celebrating from back home and the travelling fans have been amazing. It means so much to me and the whole team, thank you!! #threelions

Alli had a difficult start to the World Cup for England after he got injured in the opening game against Tunisia.

He then missed the game against Panama but was brought back for the knockout rounds.

Alli came close to scoring against Colombia with a header and made no mistake against Sweden.

Now full of confidence he will be a real dangerman when England face Croatia in the semi-finals.
