Tottenham midfielder Paulinho and Chelsea attacker Oscar are in line for a clean-cut new deal.
Kaka was the £56 million man whose transfer was a world record fee back in 2009, for a few weeks until Cristiano Ronaldo’s £80 million switch to the same team eclipsed him.
The Brazilian’s career at Real Madrid has by and large been a disappointment, and with yet another transfer window upon us his future remains unclear.
He has just been hit by the news he is to lose a major sponsorship endorsement deal, a lucrative one at that with Gillette, who have a deal with the Brazilian football federation.
And his replacements have already been identified.
Instead of just one player fronting the new advertisements, it has been reported that three players have been chosen the share the responsibility.
Selected are Chelsea’s Oscar, new Tottenham signing Paulinho, and PSG’s Lucas Moura.
It may be just another sponsorship deal, but for these three youngster to get their backing of the Brazilian federation to appear on Gillette’s adverts when Kaka’s deal runs out in August, it’s a big recognition.
A major sign in fact that the three are likely to have prominent roles next summer at the World Cup in their homeland. And further reason that each of their clubs should be very proud of and happy for their three stars indeed.
