Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked to Patrik Schick.

Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick is close to signing a new contract with the Serie A side, but is insistent on not increasing his release clause.

Schick has been a breakthrough star for Sampdoria this season, recently scoring against Inter Milan.

Gianluca di Marzio reported last month that Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both keen on signing Schick

The striker has a release clause of 25 million Euros (£21m).

The Czech Republic striker has scored eight Serie A goals this season. He has made seven starts and 18 substitute appearances, with many of his goals coming from the bench.

He has a lot more to do if he is to convince Spurs and Arsenal that he is worth shelling out the money for, with £21 million a high amount for a player after a breakthrough season.
