James Maddison is one of the best players in the Championship, and the Norwich City attacking midfielder has been linked with a host of clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Everton.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City, Southampton, Everton and Brighton and Hove Albion all are interested in signing Maddison in the summer transfer window.

The attacking midfielder is reportedly valued at £30 million and is claimed to be earning £13,000 per week as salary at the Canaries at the moment.

The England Under-21 international, though, is not getting carried away with top Premier League clubs’ (reported) interest in him.

Maddison told The Hull Daily Mail regarding speculation over his future: “It doesn’t affect me. There will always be paper talk. I have been involved in paper talk since I was 16 at Coventry.

“When I was that young you could maybe say it was on my mind when a teenage lad sees his name in the paper getting linked with this or that club.

“I am grown up now and better prepared from going through those experiences and rumours. It is flattering to see but I play for Norwich City and I love playing for Norwich City.”

Maturity

Maddison’s aforementioned comments underline his maturity and his level-headedness, and it is remarkable that he is only 21 years of age.

The youngster has been superb for Norwich since his move from Coventry City in 2016, and there is no doubt over the attacking midfielder’s quality and potential.

Tottenham and Arsenal fans should be encouraged by Maddison’s maturity, as it shows that he has the right attitude to succeed in the long run.
