Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be leading the race for Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott despite interest from Everton and West Ham United.
That’s according to London World, who claim that sources indicate Tottenham are ‘right at the front of the queue’ to sign Scott this summer.
It’s stated that Tottenham scout Peter Braund watched Scott at Ashton Gate recently as Spurs weigh up their move.
Braund even saw Scott thrive for England Under-19’s against Sweden in November, a game in which Scott recorded an assist for Tottenham talent Dane Scarlett.
That may have been the instigating performance for Tottenham to ramp up their interest in Scott, potentially seeing an exciting link-up in the future.
With Tottenham allegedly giving up on a move for Fulham playmaker Fabio Carvalho, they may now want to make sure they secure Scott.
Scott hails from Guernsey and has been branded ‘the Guernsey Grealish’ for his silky dribbling and creativity in midfield.
Tottenham famously missed out on signing Grealish from Aston Villa in 2018, and may not want to risk missing out on a similar kind of player.

Scott, 18, has played 28 times in the Championship this season, racking up three goals and two assists for the Robins.
The Daily Mail reported just last week that West Ham United, Everton and Leicester City were all looking to sign Scott at the end of the season.
Yet it now looks like Tottenham are the favourites to secure a deal for Scott in a deal that would bolster the club’s midfield options for the future.
With Alfie Devine also expected to become a first-team player, Tottenham could have a very exciting engine room in the coming years.
