Tottenham Hotspur want Alex Scott and are seriously looking into a summer deal for the Bristol City playmaker.
That’s according to CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs, who has taken to Twitter to claim that the race for Scott is heating up.
Jacobs claims that Tottenham are ‘very seriously’ looking at signing Scott come the end of the season.
Scott is expected to leave Bristol City according to Jacobs and a deal would cost in the region of £25million.
Wolves and Newcastle United are thought to be interested too with Bristol City no doubt expecting a major sale this summer.
Jacobs even notes that Bristol City did receive proposals for Scott in January but the offers came nowhere near the asking price.

Tottenham Hotspur can rectify Jack Grealish mistake with Alex Scott move
Tottenham maybe haven’t shopped in the Championship as much as they should have in recent times.
The likes of James Maddison, Jarrod Bowen and Adam Webster have all impressed since leaving the second tier and would now command huge fees.
Tottenham’s biggest miss in this regard may well come from the summer of 2018 though.
Spurs offered £25million to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa but were snubbed as new owners arrived at Villa Park and kiboshed the deal.
Had Tottenham moved a little quicker, they may well have secured Grealish and landed themselves a bargain.
Nearly five years on, Tottenham could learn their lesson by paying up for Scott – a player likened to Grealish in recent times.
Scott even called Grealish his favourite player earlier this month and Grealish responded by calling him a ‘top top talent’.
The parallels are there and 19-year-old Scott – who has notched four assists in the Championship this season – could become a star of the future for Tottenham.
Beating Wolves and Newcastle won’t be easy but Tottenham may finally be able to rectify their 2018 mistake over Grealish.
