Ajax want Tottenham ace Steven Bergwijn and are ready to go ahead with a deal after agreeing to sell Sebastien Haller.
Borussia Dortmund sold Erling Haaland to Manchester City this summer and have needed to bolster their attacking options.
Karim Adeyemi has joined from Red Bull Salzburg but Donyell Malen’s disappointing first season at the club meant they wanted another striker.
Dortmund made Ajax hitman Haller their top target after a superb season of 34 goals in 43 games.
Dortmund have now agreed a deal worth a total of €35million (£30million) to sign Haller, completing their attack.
Ajax want Tottenham ace Steven Bergwijn
Ajax will now be looking to spend their money from selling Haller – and it looks like Tottenham will be cashing in.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf report that Ajax are now planning to make their move for Spurs winger Steven Bergwijn.
Ajax have been chasing Bergwijn for months now but haven’t quite been able to meet Tottenham’s asking price.
With the money for Haller heading into Ajax’s bank account, they are now free to sign Bergwijn.
It’s stated that Haller’s sale will ‘remove the last doubt’ over Bergwijn’s move to Ajax.

The Daily Mail claimed earlier this month that Ajax had failed with a £17million bid for Bergwijn and that Everton were also keen.
Tottenham wanted closer to the £25million they paid for Bergwijn back in January 2020.
There have been suggestions of Tottenham trying to swap Bergwijn for Ajax winger Antony as they seek to beat Manchester United to his signature.
Yet it now looks like Bergwijn will be heading to Ajax for straight cash following the departure of Haller.
Bergwijn would then join other wide men like Steven Berghuis and Dusan Tadic in Amsterdam, hoping to get his career back on track after frustration at Tottenham.
