Tottenham star Michel Vorm was on the losing side again.

Tottenham Hotspur have lost three games in a row, following last night’s late collapse against Inter Milan.
The common denominator is Michel Vorm has played in all of them, and did not play in the preceding three games they won.
Last night Vorm stood rooted to the spot as Inter scored a late headed goal, showing no command of his box at all from the late set piece.
Clearly Hugo Lloris cannot return from injury quickly enough, but perhaps Tottenham made a mistake renewing Vorm’s deal this summer?
Vorm had been due to become a free agent in June before Spurs exercised their option to renew his contract by another year.

The Dutchman has been a fairly reliable back up in recent seasons. Perhaps they should have gone in another direction.
Tottenham already have Paulo Gazzaniga as a third choice, and could have taken their chances with him.
Another option would have been to promote one of their talented youth goalkeepers like Brandon Austin, or a novel idea for Tottenham nowadays, sign another player to back up Hugo Lloris.
Instead Spurs went for the easy option, renewing Vorm’s deal, and it right now it looks like they should have gone in another direction.
