Tottenham should try to force Barcelona’s hand over Yerry Mina.

Over the weekend The Sun reported Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is an admirer of Yerry Mina.

Barcelona are said to be keen to let Mina leave on loan, although this is not necessarily a type of deal Spurs would typically go for.

The best solution for Tottenham would be to talk Barcelona into a permanent switch, and they have the perfect way to do so.

If Spurs wanted Yerry Mina, it would be to replace Toby Alderweireld, and Tottenham should simply push a swap deal for the two players.

The Mirror reported Barcelona are keen on Alderweireld earlier this year, with The Independent reporting they are monitoring his situation.

Tottenham and Alderweireld have been unable to come to terms on a new contract, and Manchester United are hovering.

Spurs would rather not sell to a Premier League team, and sending him to Barcelona is an acceptable solution.

Getting World Cup star Mina back in exchange is even better, allowing him to continue his international partnership with Davinson Sanchez.
