Tottenham Hotspur are still eyeing Adama Traore and believe he may have similar versatility to current Spurs star Ivan Perisic.
Spurs wanted options at wing back and in attack over the summer to boost Antonio Conte’s squad.
Ivan Perisic and Djed Spence arrived as the wing back options on the left and right respectively, whilst Richarlison came in to give Conte a versatile attacker.
Yet with Spence yet to really make a breakthrough and another winger now wanted, Traore could end up back on the radar.

Tottenham Hotspur are still eyeing Adama Traore
It’s starting to feel like Traore is going to be linked with Tottenham in every window; it’s reaching Leandro Damiao territory at this point.
Traore was heavily linked with Tottenham during the summer of 2021 given that Nuno Espirito Santo – his former Wolves boss – was appointed Spurs manager.
Nuno was quickly sacked but Tottenham were back in January of this year with Antonio Conte understood to be a long-term admirer.
Traore chose a loan move to Barcelona instead and, sure enough, the rumours returned over the summer.
Now the January transfer window is in sight and Traore is yet again being linked with Tottenham.
Transfer insider Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that Tottenham like Traore because they think he can be similar to Perisic in terms of his versatility.
We have seen Perisic feature as a left wing back, right wing back, winger and support striker since joining Tottenham.
Traore may be a winger by trade but he has also played as a wing back to Wolves and started as a striker against Arsenal on Saturday.
You can understand that Conte may want to harness Traore’s attacking ability from a wing back role, just as he did with Victor Moses at Chelsea.
Traore’s defensive abilities will of course be questioned but it sounds like Tottenham could launch a 2023 move – especially with the Spaniard’s contract ending next summer.
