The Inter Milan midfielder would be an excellent addition for Tottenham Hotspur.

Mauricio Pochettino manager

Tottenham have already been busy this summer, signing Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, before loaning the youngster back to Leeds.

They have also been linked with moves for both Bruno Fernandes and Giovani Lo Celso (London Evening Standard).

There could be another issue that needs addressing at Spurs this summer, however.

According to the Daily Mail, Victor Wanyama is a transfer target for Bournemouth.

Tottenham signed the 28-year-old for around £11 million back in the summer of 2016 (BBC), and he has proven to be a decent squad member for the north London outfit.

And if he Kenyan does leave, Spurs should revisit their interest in Marcelo Brozovic.

According to Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List, Tottenham failed with a £36 million for the Inter ace last summer.

Here’s why he’d be perfect for Pochettino’s side now…

Comfortable in possession

The 26-year-old possesses exceptional technique, and he is more than comfortable receiving the ball in tight areas. This makes him ideally suited to the Premier League, where he will have little time on the ball.

Versatility

Brozovic is most comfortable when playing in the deep-lying midfield position, although he can be utilised further up the pitch, and that kind of versatility would surely appeal to Pochettino.

Tenacious playing style

The 47-capped Croatia international possesses energy in abundance, and he excels when closing down the opposition by snapping into challenges.

This playing style makes him an ideal fit for the Premier League, what with its intense, robust nature.

Whether Inter will be willing to sell Brozovic for around £30-40 million is up for debate, but Tottenham should test the Serie A outfit’s resolve nonetheless.
