The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has hardly played over the past seven months.

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and shared how close he feels he is to being back to his best, after playing just 12 minutes of competitive football since February of this year.
The 22-year-old burst onto the scene under Mauricio Pochettino’s tutelage last year, and went from strength to strength, until he suffered an unfortunate injury during the second half of the campaign.
Winks is a wonderful footballer, and Spurs have undoubtedly missed his impressive passing ability and composure when in possession during his absence.
The English midfielder spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and insisted that it is up to him to prove to everyone that he is physically ready to play regularly again:

“I feel like I’m getting there now. I’ve been out for five, six months and it takes time but I feel like I’m getting back to my match sharpness. The 2016/17 season was the breakthrough for me and to then play in those Champions League matches last season, the likes of Real Madrid, that was the pinnacle. I think I performed well and that’s the level I want to get back to. I’m confident I can do that. It will take time because I’ve been out for so long but I feel I’m on the road to that, nearly there.”
Tottenham play host to Liverpool on Saturday, and Winks will be hoping for a chance to prove to Poch that he is ready to play more than just a few minutes here and there.
