The Tottenham Hotspur boss is widely considered to be one of the best managers on the continent.

Tottenham ace Dele Alli sat down for an exclusive interview with BT Sport, and raved about the quality of his manager Mauricio Pochettino, sharing what makes the Argentine such a great boss.
Poch took over as manager of Spurs way back in May 2014, and he deserves great credit for the job that he has done in north London.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing for the 46-year-old, however, with criticism being levelled at his side for their failure to win a major trophy.
It is hard to criticise Pochettino or his team, though, considering the high quality of football that they have displayed on a consistent basis.
Dele told BT Sport how much of an influence the Argentine has had on his game, whilst admitting that he has been pulled aside on more than one occasion by his manager:

“I think from the outside everyone can see what he’s done with the club and the players. As a player you don’t need any more confidence than having a manager that puts all in his trust in you and he’ll tell you the truth. He’s pulled me a few times to speak to me about my game but he’ll catch it early – he’ll see it before you see it in regards to having a dip in form or if you’re not doing something right.”
The majority of Tottenham fans must surely be happy with the work that Poch has done during his time with the club, despite his failure to guide his team to a major trophy.
One thing is for sure, if one of Europe’s superpowers manage to prise the Argentine away from north London, there will be a mutiny amongst the Spurs fans, and that in itself proves just how important he is to the club.
