The Tottenham Hotspur defender has been linked with an exit from the club in recent weeks.
According to a report from Football.London, it is highly unlikely that Danny Rose will leave Tottenham for a foreign club before the end of the month, although he could be moved on in January.
The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from Spurs all summer long, with the Sun claiming that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are both keen on signing him.
Mauricio Pochettino does have Ben Davis and Ryan Sessegnon to call upon, but neither of those are currently match fit.
So losing Rose now just doesn’t seem like an option for Tottenham.
Football.London claims that the England international could still be moved on in January, however.
Rose has just under two years remaining on his current deal with Spurs. So moving him on sooner rather than later would make sense for the north London outfit from a business perspective.
Much will depend on how much Tottenham are offered for the left-back, however. He is still a vitally important player for Pochettino’s side, and it could be argued that Davies is not in his league.
Sessegnon, meanwhile, has operated more as a left winger over the past 12 months, so there will be question marks about his defensive ability.
And most Tottenham fans will surely want Rose to remain in north London for the foreseeable future.
