The Tottenham Hotspur defender was in magnificent form against Chelsea last night.

Danny Rose was superb for Tottenham against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final clash last night, and his performance made Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to start Ben Davies for the majority of the games this season seem all the more baffling.
The 28-year-old joined Spurs as a teenager in the summer of 2007, and he has gone on to be a real hit in north London, chalking up 176 appearances in all competitions for the club.
He has struggled for game-time since suffering a long-term injury in January 2017, however, and Ben Davies is now considered to be Pochettino’s first choice left-back.
Rose has made just 12 starts in all competitions this season, but when he has played he has been more than impressive – none more so than against Chelsea last night.
The England international, on his day, really is one of the finest left sided full-backs in world football, and there must be something going on behind the scenes, for Poch to continue picking Davies ahead of him,
The Wales international is a sound operator, but he is not even in Rose’s league, and the Englishman’s performance last night proved how much he can offer Tottenham, with defensively and in the final third.

The Spurs ace is at his physical peak, and his experience of big-game action makes him an absolute must for Poch’s starting XI between now and the end of the season.
Tottenham are right in the mix in the race for the Premier League title this term, with just six points separating them and league leaders Liverpool, and having a fully fit and firing Danny Rose in the team could make all the difference for them between now and May.
