The Tottenham Hotspur star has been his usual brilliant self this season.

Tottenham star Christian Eriksen spoke to reporters today, and responded in wonderfully humble fashion, when asked why he is such a good player, as quoted by Football.London.
The 26-year-old joined Spurs from Ajax in the summer of 2013, for around £12.5 million, and he has gone on to be nothing short of an outstanding success in north London, chalking up an impressive 62 goals and 78 assists in 252 appearances in all competitions.
One of the most technically gifted playmakers in world football, Eriksen is vital to everything good that Tottenham do, and Pochettino will be desperate to get him tied down to a new deal as soon as possible.
The Dane’s current deal ends in the summer of 2020, and Spurs surely have to just pay him whatever he wants to ensure that he remains in north London.
The former Ajax man is supremely talented, and he responded to reporters when asked what makes him such a creative player, as quoted by Football.London:

“If I’m popping up to score a goal, I’m lucky that I am in the right place at the right time and taking the chances, which is always a good outcome. I’m not sure to be honest. I just think it is something that I was lucky to be born with it!”
Tottenham seem to be on the cusp of achieving something very special, and if they are to have any chance whatsoever of doing just that, they will need Eriksen to be on his very best form between now and the end of the season.
