The Tottenham Hotspur ace is a reported transfer target for Real Madrid.

Christian Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots spoke to reporters about his client’s future, and suggested that the Tottenham ace is only focusing on playing football, as quoted by the London Evening Standard.
The 27-year-old’s current contract ends in the summer of 2020, and he has been linked with a move away from Spurs, with the Mirror reporting earlier this month that Spanish giants Real Madrid want to bring him to the Bernabeu in the summer.
He is undoubtedly one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players, but if he does not agree terms on a new deal before the end of this season, it would be no surprise to see Tottenham move him on in the summer, rather than risk losing him for nothing a year later.
The Dane is currently earning £75,000 per week at Tottenham, according to the Standard – a rather meagre salary for a top player by today’s standards.
Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots spoke to reporters, and responded when asked whether his client could leave Spurs at the end of this season, as quoted by the London Evening Standard:

“I don’t want to add to the speculation around Christian’s contract and football future. Christian is only focusing on the football. He has evolved from a world class talent into a world class player.”
A lot can still happen between now and the summer, but it will be interesting to see how Tottenham react, if Real Madrid do in fact come in with a concrete offer for the Danish star.
There has been talk that Gareth Bale could be offered to Spurs as bait (the Mirror), and that might just turn out to be something that the north London outfit cannot refuse.
