Tottenham want Rafael Leao and their chase has taken a real turn after Spurs were drawn against AC Milan in the Champions League.
It seems like there is a new rumour about Antonio Conte wanting new Tottenham signings every week.
We’re only just about a year into the Conte era at Tottenham and it’s clear that Spurs still need a few windows to get where the Italian wants to go.
Daniel Levy and co may need to dig deep in order to give Conte the calibre of player he wants and one big name has been linked recently.

Tottenham want Rafael Leao
Italian sporting director Fabio Cordella – previously of clubs like Treviso, Union Saint-Gilloise and Budapest Honved – claims that Tottenham want Leao.
Cordella told Calciomercato that Tottenham are interested in handing Leao a deal worth around €10million-a-year – just shy of £170,000-a-week.
It still seems pretty ambitious for Tottenham to be targeting Leao given his standing in the game right now but Conte has real pulling power.
Leao, 23, has hit five goals and four assists in just 12 Serie A games this season.
The Portuguese winger looks set to shine at the World Cup and Tottenham are eyeing quite the move if he doesn’t sign a new Milan deal.
Well, Tottenham’s chase of the speedy wide man – likened to Kylian Mbappe by former Lille man Gerard Lopez – has just taken a turn.
In Monday’s Champions League last 16 draw, Tottenham were paired up with Milan.
This means Conte and co will see Leao up close and personal in two games as they assess a 2023 move.
The interesting angle here is that Tottenham may be able to sell themselves to Leao in this game.
If Tottenham come in and brush Milan aside to advance into the quarter-finals, that may just say to Leao that Spurs really are going places under Conte.
This is a big opportunity for Tottenham to advance their status as a Champions League club but selling themselves as a potential destination for Leao is a big factor here too.
