Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday afternoon saw arguably one of the games of the weekend as Tottenham Hotspur hosted West Ham United at White Hart Lane.
It proved to be a fascinating clash between the two sides as a late double from Harry Kane saw Mauricio Pochettino’s men leave with all three points.
Before the game, we compared two of the team’s key players – attacking midfield pair Christian Eriksen and Dimitri Payet.

It proved to be the Spurs man once more as he won in three key areas compared to two.
He was the better passer, posting more accurate efforts than Payet, with a score of 40 compared to 28.
Eriksen was also a better passer in the final third; posting more successful final third passes with a score of 16 compared to 12.
Payet, though, was more dangerous on the ball, posting more key passes – three compared to one – as well as enjoying a vastly superior overall passing accuracy. Neither managed an assist.
Eriksen posted more shots in total – three compared to one – but neither managed to get an effort on target or find the back of the net.
A win for Eriksen nonetheless and given his side ran out eventual winners, a good day for him overall.
