Tottenham Hotspur interim-manager Ryan Mason has raved about Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa, as quoted in Football.London.

Mason, who was appointed as the Tottenham manager until the end of the season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, has been impressed by what Bielsa has done at Leeds.

The 29-year-old Englishman made the comments about Leeds on Friday ahead of the Premier League game between the Whites and Spurs at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Mason told Football.London about Bielsa: “Listen he’s done incredible. He’s done a great job last season and he’s done a very good job this season as well so tomorrow will be a proper test and we’re looking forward to it.”

Bielsa is a legend at Leeds and is hugely adored by the fans. After all, it was the Argentine who guided the club back to promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds are doing extremely well in the Premier League and could finish in the top half of the table.

The Whites are playing wonderful football and have impressed even rivals fans.

Mason is just starting his managerial career. The 29-year-old is only the interim manager of Spurs and may not be given the role by club chairman Daniel Levy at the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see how Mason fares against a hugely experienced manager such as Bielsa on Saturday.
