Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City played out a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Saturday afternoon saw arguably one of the weekend’s more promising games as Tottenham Hotspur hosted Leicester City at White Hart Lane.
It was a meeting between two of the top teams from last season, with Spurs having challenged Claudio Ranieri’s side for the title for much of the campaign.
Perhaps predictably, then, neither side would leave with all three points as Ahmed Musa’s strike levelled Vincent Janssen’s opener from the penalty spot.
Before the game, we compared Eric Dier with his England rival Danny Drinkwater to discover how the two players have matched up so far this season.

The Foxes star came out on top in that match-up, so how did they end up comparing in the game? We have taken a look.
It turned out to be a narrow win for Drinkwater as he won in four of the eight areas analysed.
Defensively he was much better than Dier, winning more tackles, six compared to none, more interceptions, four compared to three, and three times as many defensive duels.

The Spurs man was better at winning the ball in the midfield third, although Drinkwater managed more ball recoveries.
Dier was once again on top in terms of passing, posting more accurate passes, 35 compared to 32, and enjoying a better overall passing accuracy. Neither player managed a key pass in 90 minutes.
A narrow win overall for Drinkwater, though, and the midfielder will be hoping for a similar victory when they battle it out for a place in the next England squad.
