Tottenham Hotspur missed the chance to go top of the Premier League this weekend when they could only draw 0-0 with Bournemouth.
Spurs had 62 per cent possession and 16 goal attempts but only four of those were on target and Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be left to rue a missed opportunity.
This performance should not detract too much from what has been a great start for Tottenham both domestically and in Europe, but these are the kind of matches they need to be winning if they want to lift silverware at the end of the campaign.
One player who disappointed on the day was Argentine international Erik Lamela, who has struggled in recent weeks after hinting in pre-season that he was finally going to fulfil his potential.
