Celtic fell 23 points behind in the title race on Saturday and Jeff Stelling isn’t expecting them to claw it back

Any lingering hopes of an incredible Celtic comeback in the title race were seemingly dispelled on Saturday as Rangers cruised to a 5-0 victory against Ross County at Ibrox.
That result gave Steven Gerrard’s men a 23-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic may have three games in hand on their rivals, but Neil Lennon’s side have yet to register a victory this year in four attempts.
A 1-0 defeat against Rangers was followed by draws against Hibs, Livingston at home and Livingston away.

The league leaders, meanwhile, have dropped points on just three occasions during the campaign, and are yet to be defeated in their 25 Premiership matches this season.
One man who gives Celtic little hope of mounting a comeback is Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling.
As he confirmed the standings on Sky Sports, Stelling said: “Rangers extend their lead at the top of the table to 23 points.
“Celtic have three games in hand, which frankly is totally irrelevant.”
