Queens Park Rangers bad start to the season hit a worrying new low on Saturday afternoon after they were thrashed 7-1 away from home by West Bromwich Albion.

The west Londoners completely capitulated at the Hawthorns after goals from Kieran Gibbs, Jay Rodriguez (2), Matty Phillips (2), Dwight Gayle and Hal Robson-Kanu saw them suffer their worst defeat in 31 years.

The West Midlands mauling highlights just how bad things have gone for QPR so far this season, with the result likely putting pressure on boss Steve McClaren. The R’s faithful endured a torrid afternoon and they’ll want to see a vastly improved performance against Bristol City on Tuesday.
