Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has vehemently denied reports the Eagles have bid £19 million plus £6 million in add-ons for Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.

After Sky Sports tweeted the rumour on Monday, Parish took to his own Twitter account to debunk the news.

The Palace supremo tweeted: “We have asked Sky to take this down as it is a total fabrication from start to finish. We have not made a bid – formal or informal.’

The Independent reports Sheffield United and West Brom are also keen on Brewster, who scored 11 goals in 22 games while on loan at Swansea last season.

The 20-year-old was awarded the Golden Boot after netting eight goals at the 2017 Under-17 World Cup to help England lift the trophy. He was also handed the Bronze Ball for his individual efforts.

The Daily Mail reported on Sunday that the south Londoners were leading the chase for the highly rated forward, with Liverpool wanting a buy-back option and sell-on clause for their academy graduate.

Should he move to Selhurst Park, Brewster would join Michy Batshuayi, Nathan Ferguson and Eberechi Eze as another of the new faces in SE25.
