According to the latest reports in Italy, Chelsea striker Fernando Torres isn’t convinced about a move to AC Milan.

AC Milan have been discussing a deal for Fernando Torres for some time and seem to have Chelsea’s consent, but the player hasn’t signed off.

Milan are in need of a new striker after selling Mario Balotelli to Liverpool and Torres seems to be the most likely option.

The latest reports in Italy suggest that Milan have an agreement over a loan switch with Chelsea, but they are waiting for Torres to agree.

Since the arrival of Diego Costa, Torres faces the possibility of being a peripheral figure at Stamford Bridge, but the Spaniard doesn’t appear to be ready to head for San Siro yet.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan are only willing to consider a loan deal for Torres, but the player would prefer a permanent transfer.

An outright sale is a show of faith that Milan may not be looking to make, even though they have a significant sum from the Balotelli sale.

Milan are said to be considering Liverpool’s Fabio Borini as a back-up option but they may face significant opposition for the Italian star.
