The top six goal-assist combinations feature players from Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, Manchester United and Swansea.

Last season, the combination play of Leicester City duo Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy was a big part of the Foxes shock title win. Between them, the pair combined to find the back of the net on 8 occasions, but having struggled for large parts of this season, they are nowhere to be seen in the top 20 as we enter the final quarter of this season.
Instead, six goal-assist duos are currently joint top, with players from Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, Manchester United and Swansea all represented. Everton are the only team to feature twice, and similarly, Romelu Lukaku the only player to feature twice, having been regularly assisted by both Kevin Mirallas and Yannick Bolasie.

Somewhat surprisingly, champions-elect Chelsea have no players in the top six, with Nemanja Matic assisting Diego Costa surprisingly ranking as their joint most successful combination this season. Narrowly missing out on the top six is an even more unusual combination; Gylfi Sigurdsson assisting Alfie Mawson. Relegation-threatened Swansea City have been among the goals under Paul Clement, and Mawson has proved a real threat from centre-back. Here are the top six:

Two players whose Arsenal future’s appear to be hanging in the balance, they are arguably the Gunners two most gifted individuals. With the German better known for his creativity and the Chilean his goal scoring prowess, you could be forgiven for expecting Ozil – Sanchez to be a more regular combination than Sanchez – Ozil, but that is not so.
Christian Eriksen assisting Harry Kane (Tottenham) – 4 goals

With Harry Kane scoring goals for fun once again this season, it is no surprise to see the Tottenham man feature here. It should also come as little surprise to see former Ajax man Christian Eriksen as his lead provider. The attacking midfielder has set up 10 Premier League goals this season, twice as many as any other Tottenham player and fewer than only Gylfi Sigurdsson in the entire top flight.
Wayne Rooney assisting Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United) – 4 goals

Zlatan Ibrahimovic may have well and truly usurped Wayne Rooney as Manchester United’s lead forward, but the Red Devils and England’s all-time leading scorer has assisted the Swede on more occasions than any other player. Zlatan has scored a total of 15 league goals this season, whilst Rooney has 5 assists, 4 of which have been to the former PSG hitman.
Kevin Mirallas assisting Romelu Lukaku (Everton) – 4 goals

Still only 23 years old, Romelu Lukaku currently leads the Premier League’s goal scoring charts, with 21 league strikes to his name, already making it his best ever season. Everton face an uphill task keeping hold of their Belgian maestro, and he features twice in the league’s top six goal-assist combinations, firstly alongside his compatriot Kevin Mirallas.
Yannick Bolasie assisting Romelu Lukaku (Everton) – 4 goals

That man again… and the Bolasie – Lukaku combination is a particularly interesting one, as the Congolese winger made just 13 league appearances this season before picking up a nasty injury. The duo appeared to be developing quite the rapport, both off and on the pitch, and the statistics would appear to back that up. Had Bolasie not been injured on December 4th, these two would almost certainly be some way out in front.
Gylfi Sigurdsson assisting Fernando Llorente (Swansea) – 4 goals

Gylfi Sigurdsson’s tally of 11 assists, the most in the Premier League, twinned with 8 Premier League goals in a struggling Swansea City side, is seriously impressive. The Icelandic playmaker who is in his second spell at the Liberty, sandwiching a two-year spell at Tottenham Hotspur, has assisted Fernando Llorente 4 times. Llorente had a slow start to life in Wales, but his form under Paul Clement has been superb.
