Jamie Carragher was blown away by Arsenal target Yves Bissouma’s display for Brighton & Hove Albion last night, as per his comments to Sky Sports.
Football London have reported how Arsenal are keen on Bissouma, and suggested that he wants a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The midfielder was in sparking form last night, even though Brighton were not quite able to pick up the three points against Everton.
And Carragher suggests that if Arsenal do want to sign Bissouma he could cost a hefty fee, given the level of his talent.
“The biggest bright spark was the performance of Bissouma, who was man of the match. But not just the best player on the pitch, the best player by a mile on the pitch,” he said.
“You looked at him and thought he really does look like a top quality player.
“He was excellent at Old Trafford as well last time out, and he just looked head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch.
“He’s been someone a lot of teams have looked at, or talked about. I don’t think teams will be looking at him, I think teams will be bidding for him.

“I know Brighton fans will be saying why you trying to sell one of our players! But I think you would get top dollar for him.”
Arsenal are likely to be on the look out for Bissouma, and the Brighton man certainly could be a strong option.
Not only does the 24-year-old boast a wealth of Premier League experience now, but he also could form an exceptional partnership with Thomas Partey.
Bissouma is capable of playing in a high pressing system, which Mikel Arteta demands, he is defensively solid, and he also has a high level of technical ability.
Bissouma’s displays have been so impressive this season that Arsenal are unlikely to have a free run to sign him, though, as Liverpool’s interest has also been reported.
