Speaking on Tottenham Hotspur’s YouTube channel, Joe Hart has waxed-lyrical about Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s professionalism.
The goalkeeper was taking place in a video speaking about a few of his Spurs teammates, and the group were asked who is the first person to the training ground every day.
The consensus was that Eric Dier was the first man through the door, but Hart claims that Hojbjerg is never too far behind him, commenting on his professionalism.
“Pierre is a top professional and he just does everything right. His job is his job and whatever he needs to do after takes place after that.”
Hojbjerg seemed to be appreciative of the compliment, but he joked that his wife wasn’t best pleased with the amount of time he spends on the training ground, quipping:
“My wife hates me, because I’m never home so I get a bit of stick.”

Aside from the fact that Hojbjerg may need to work things out with his wife, this is brilliant to hear.
Everyone seems to have good things to say about Hojbjerg, and to be honest, he sounds like the perfect player behind the scenes.
To make things even better, he’s been fantastic on the pitch as well, and at £15m he’s looking like an absolute bargain.
Tottenham are lucky to have a player like Hojbjerg.
