TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has raved about Joao Palhinha amid claims that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and David Moyes’s West Ham United want to sign the Fulham defensive midfielder.

According to The Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are interested in signing Joao Palhinha from Premier League rivals Fulham in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that Liverpool are looking into the possibility of signing Palhinha as a potential replacement for Fabinho.

The Brazilian defensive midfielder is reportedly on his way to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Ittihad in a £40 million transfer deal.

TalkSPORT has reported that West Ham United are in talks with Fulham and trying to sign the 28-year-old Portugal international for £40 million.

Former Tottenham Hotspur player O’Hara has said that Palhinha is a top player, adding that Fulham fans will not be happy with speculation linking him with moves away from Craven Cottage.

O’Hara said about Palhinha on talkSPORT (6:53am, July 17, 2023) “Fulham fans will not be happy. Top player.”

Palhinha would find Liverpool more appealing than West Ham United

In our opinion, Fulham defensive midfielder Palhinha would find Liverpool more appealing and attractive than West Ham United.

Liverpool are a bigger club than the Hammers and will challenge for the Premier League title next season, just as they have done under manager Jurgen Klopp in recent years.

If Fabinho leaves, then it will open up a spot for Palhinha in the Liverpool midfield.

The Portugal international is at the top of his game at the moment and a move to Liverpool would represent a better chance of winning major trophies than a transfer to West Ham.

Yes, the Hammers won the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, but Liverpool have clinched the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and the EFL Cup in recent years.
