Leeds United have been linked with Stuttgart attacker Alexandru Maxim in the January transfer window.
The agent of Alexandru Maxim has told Bild, as translated by The Express, that the Stuttgart attacker and reported Leeds United target has the quality to be a top player.
German publication Stuttgarter Nachrichten recently reported of Leeds’s interest in Maxim (click here to read more), who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
The 26-year-old’s agent, Herbert Briem, has suggested that the Romania international could leave Stuttgart in the January transfer window.
Briem has also praised the former Pandurii Targu Jiu attacker, and believes that he has the quality to be a top player.
“I advise Alex to play football where you have the highest requirements and where they believe in him,” Briem told German newspaper Bild, as translated by The Express. “There are prerequisites at Stuttgart.
“The faith [at Stuttgart] is currently not 100 percent there. But there have been many situations that have changed completely in a very short time. Alex has the quality to be a top player.”
Maxim scored one goal and created 36 chances in 25 Bundesliga appearances for Stuttgart during the 2015-16 campaign. Stuttgart got relegated from the German top flight at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, Leeds are going strong in the Championship at the moment and are in the running for the playoffs.
The West Yorkshire outfit are currently fourth in the standings with 48 points from 27 matches.
