Chelsea assistant manager John Terry has praised Ezri Konsa on Instagram for his performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.

Terry believes that Konsa played well for Villa in their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at Villa Park in the Premier League.

How did Ezri Konsa play against Tottenham Hotspur?

Konsa is one of the best players at Villa and has been playing well for Dean Smith’s side this season.

The 23-year-old defender was probably unlucky to be left out of the latest England squad.

The youngster showed no signs of disappointment against Spurs and was quite good at the back.

Konsa should have probably done better for Carlos Vinicius’s goal as he was beaten for pace, but the defender recovered and had a good game thereafter.

Harry Kane and Vinicius struggled to get past Konsa, who should be pleased with his overall performance on the night.

According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old had a pass accuracy of 84.4%, won six headers, took 64 touches, and made one tackle, three interceptions and nine clearances.

So far this season, the defender has made 25 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Villa, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
