Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Marcelo Brozovic, and Jose Mourinho’s recent comments about the Inter Milan midfielder will encourage the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful.
What’s the story?
As we covered on HITC Sport earlier today, Inter Live are reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing Brozovic from Inter in the summer transfer window.
New Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici wants to bring the 28-year-old Croatia international as well as his teammate Stefan de Vrij to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
What Jose Mourinho has said
Mourinho is an Inter legend.
No one will ever forget that treble-winning season at Inter.
The former Tottenham manager knows a quality player when he sees one.
And he was raving about Brozovic on talkSPORT at the weekend.
Looking ahead to the Euro 2020 game between England and Croatia this past weekend, former Spurs boss Mourinho highlighted Brozovic as a danger-man.
The AS Roma manager said on talkSPORT (June 13, 2021): “England is going to face one of the best midfields in the tournament. Brozovic is the top of the top. He’s a fantastic player.
“Aggression but at the same time great technique and arrival in the box and coming from a more defensive position.”

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
Brozovic has been at Inter since 2015 and is at the top of his game now.
The 28-year-old would be able to make an immediate impact at Tottenham.
The Croatia international, who helped Inter win Serie A this past season, would make Spurs stronger in the middle of the park.
Brozovic made 29 starts and four substitute appearances in the league in 2020-21.
The midfielder also scored two goals and gave six assists in the league.
