Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Ian Poveda for the Under-23 side against their West Bromwich Albion counterparts.

Poveda was in action for the Leeds Under-23 team against their West Brom counterparts in Premier League 2 on Monday afternoon.

Mark Jackson’s side won 5-0, with Joe Gelhardt scoring a hat-trick and stealing the show.

Poveda also played well and did his part in the win for the Leeds Under-23 side and impressed the fans, as shown below.

The 21-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, was arguably the main threat for Leeds with his running at the opposition players and being able to take them on.

The former Manchester City prospect provided a superb assist for Crysencio Summerville for the fourth goal for his team.

Poveda has already played a handful of matches for the Leeds first team, and although his performances have been decent, he is not yet ready to play week in and week out for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Some Leeds fans were impressed by Poveda’s performance on Monday, but they have suggested that he needs to work on his finishing.
