Calvin Miller has told The Daily Record what Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney has said to him after his release from Celtic.

As Miller announced on Twitter this week, he is leaving Celtic when his current contract ends this summer.

The 22-year-old, who can operate as a full-back or as a winger, has not been handed a new deal, and he is becoming a free agent.

Tierney played with Miller at Celtic before the Scotland international left-back moved to Arsenal in the Premier League in the summer of 2019.

The 22-year-old Scotsman has disclosed what Tierney has told him following his release from Celtic.

Miller told The Daily Record: “KT told me not to be too disappointed because he is in no doubt I will get something and back playing at a top level.

“He is also going to put me in touch with a physio to make sure my knee is perfect and ready to go.

“KT has been really good, as have all the boys at Celtic. The likes of Jeremie Frimpong and Mikey Johnston also called. I know I have made friends for life.”

Moving on

Miller came through the youth academy at Celtic, and although he broke into the first team, the youngster failed to establish himself as a regular for the Hoops.

The youngster is only 22 years of age, and he could get an offer from a club in the Scottish Premiership or in the lower leagues in England.

What is important for Miller now is to find a club where he is going to play regular first-team football and to continue to work hard.
