Jurrien Timber labelled William Saliba’s performance as ‘top’ on Instagram following Arsenal’s dramatic 3-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday at the Emirates.
For the second home game running in a row, Mikel Arteta’s side conceded the opening goal and proceeded to force themselves to climb up a very rocky hill.
Unlike against Fulham last week, Arsenal proceeded to climb this hill and secure a stoppage-time win over Manchester United to maintain their unbeaten start to the new Premier League season.
During the reverse fixture last season, it was Eddie Nketiah who was the hero, well, this time around, it was new boy and summer signing, Declan Rice – both Ian Wright and Michael Owen were impressed by Rice’s teammate, who is yet to start this season.
Arsenal’s backline, which was led by William Saliba, ensured that they just about kept Manchester United at a distance, despite several scares, once they had equalised pretty much straightaway through Martin Odegaard’s pin-point finish following Marcus Rashford’s opener.
When Saliba reacted on Instagram to that win, the currently injured Jurrien Timber responded in the comments section by posting ‘top’, whilst Rice added ‘yes sir’ added with fire emojis.

“We keep fighting until the end…ALWAYS,” wrote Saliba.
Arsenal are conceding too many goals
From day dot, if you want to win the Premier League title, then you have to display a consistency in keeping clean sheets, regardless of the number of goals you score.
History proves that you need it, or else, you are getting what the rest of the league is getting, and that’s nothing.
More so at home for Arteta and his players, it seems as though they are going to concede that goal every time, so if they can take that out of their game, then it will serve them well as they try to battle Manchester City for the title.
