Liverpool fans are generally relieved after The Times claimed that they will avoid a points deduction for joining the European Super League.
Liverpool announced their intention to be involved in the newly formed competition on Sunday evening, before swiftly pulling out on Tuesday.
The Premier League are now discussing what the appropriate punishment for all the clubs involved should be.
It seems that Liverpool and the other five teams are now set to avoid a points deduction, according to the Times.
And that has pleased Reds fans, who are still hopeful that they can claim a top four spot.
Liverpool are currently in seventh spot, so even without any points deduction they will have to finish the season strongly to make up ground.
The Reds are only two points behind the Champions League spots though, which means that all hope is not lost.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are next in action on on Saturday, when they will be heavy favourites to beat Newcastle United at Anfield.
