Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the announcement this morning that central defender Jan Vertonghen and goalkeeper Michel Vorm have decided to sign a short-term extension to their current contracts.
Vertonghen and Vorm both had their contracts at Tottenham running out at the end of the month, meaning that the Belgian and the Dutchman would have become free agents from the start of July.
However, with the Premier League season running into July, Tottenham have announced this morning on their official website that the two players have extended their current deals with the North London outfit until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
