The young stopper has been in top form this season.

The Premier League is now five games old and whilst things are still in their early days, as clear from the fact Chelsea are currently hovering above the relegation zone, plenty of other places in the league are starting to look like the norm.

So what can we tell from the statistics after just five games?

Of course statistics cannot tell you much about the goalkeeping position in the Premier League, but who has made the most saves in the league this season?

Good news for England, because it is one of your own who is topping the pile with Jack Butland the best shot stopper in the Premier League.

Butland took over from Asmir Begovic this summer after the Bosnian international headed to Chelsea and has been in great form for the club. Last weekend he kept Arsenal at bay for most of the game and despite losing 2-0 to the club they would have been beaten by a much bigger margin if it were not for the keeper.

Tim Krul and Alex McCarthy have also been busy this season, making 24 saves apiece whilst Costel Pantilimon and Tim Howard round out the top five.
