Chelsea hero Didier Drogba will face off against Chelsea tomorrow night, bringing back a lot of memories from his time at Stamford Bridge.
The Ivorian is still regarded a Chelsea hero after a highly productive spell with the Blues, which featured some incredible goals – five of which are shown below.
Liverpool
This outstanding swivel-and-volley gave Chelsea a 1-0 win over Liverpool in September 2006, chesting the ball on the edge of the before turning and slamming the ball past Pepe Reina in the Reds’ goal.
Bolton
Drogba spanked home this stunner in January 2011, setting Chelsea on their way to a convincing 4-0 victory at the Reebok Stadium. Capitalising on a defensive error, Drogba looked up and from fully 30 yards, hammered a drive past Jussi Jaaskelainen.
Everton
This is probably one of Drogba’s most famous Chelsea goals, as another incredible long range volley went soaring past the opposition goalkeeper, giving Chelsea a vital 3-2 win in December 2006.
Bayern Munich
This is the goal that most Chelsea fans will remember Drogba by. Trailing Bayern Munich late in the Champions League final, Drogba popped up when the Blues needed him most, and planted a header home in 88th minute – Chelsea famously went on to win the game and subsequently the trophy, with Drogba scoring the winning penalty in the shootout.
Barcelona
Similar to his goal against Liverpool, Drogba scored another swivelling sceamer in this 2006 Champions League game against Barcelona.
